Airplane accident in Brazil

/* Edit on 11/03/2006:

As of today, I know that the air traffic control in Brazil made the mistake, they were asked whether the Legacy could stay at 37000 feet and they promptly agreed so the Legacy flew directly towards the Boing. I will leave all these words below because I want to leave it clear that I made a mistake and must apologize to Joe Sharkey, and the two pilots. That is it. I apologize. For the same reasons, I will not ask the air traffic control guys heads in a dish so just wait for the news.
End of edit.

Every close friend of mine knows one thing about me: I hate airplanes. You will see me in one of them just in case of death. I also, admire the USA country in many aspects and I have many American friends. And by the way: I work for an American company. Thus, you cannot say I am biased at this.

Everybody might have known about the crash of two airplanes and there has been a huge talking here. I guess that airplane accidents are too tragic. And most of all, I think about the children that lost their parents or in the ones that passed away in the sad event.

It is a fact that the Legacy airplane was flying 1000 feets higher than it should. It is fact that its transponder was not working during the crash but magically restarted to work after the crashing. The pilots did not respond radio calls from the operators though they were called on. The GOL airplane pilot was aware of the fact that an airjet was coming in their direction but what he did was the procedure: do not change the route and wait for the operator to warn the legacy pilot.

It has been said that the Legacy pilots did not understand what the airspace controllers said in the radio, I cannot assure it, but I suspect that it might be true: A few americans tend to think that English that is not well spoken is NOT English per se.

Later edit: I know today ( 17/10/2006 that the air space control got in touch and they pilots did not understood well what was said )

If you want to read some biased lies please log at Joe Sharkey site. Surprise, he does not allow you to post comments.

I am sure that he is not guilty except perhaps for agreement and for omitting the truth. Well, I was reacting too enraged with the Legacy pilots, but then if they are human, the guilty of killing 154 persons with children among them will be a good curse for the rest of their lives. Sharkey, though, seems to puke his lies off.

Later edit: I read the news saying that the flight plane for the Legacy said they SHOULD have left the 37 000 after Brasilia and they did not follow these orders. Thus, they have lied when talking to the Brazilian police.
